A24 has released the new trailer for Ti West‘s ‘MaXXXine,’ starring Mia Goth, who is reprising her role as Maxine Minx from the X film series. Watch the trailer below.
In the above trailer, you can see Goth’s Maxine, who is now an adult film actress and working in the adult film industry. He is a serial killer who targets young stars, and he knows Maxine’s past. Will she find him? Yeah. At the end, Maxine says, “Time to pay for your sins.” and ends up with, “It’s America’s new screaming queen, Maxine fu***ing Minx.”
Directed by West and is the third and final installment in the X trilogy, following X and Pearl. The film also stars Elizabeth Debicki as a film director, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan as an LAPD detective, Bobby Cannavale as an LAPD detective, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito as an agent for the adult film industry, and Kevin Bacon as a private investigator.
In ‘MaXXXine,’ Goth reprises her role as Maxine Minx, an adult film actress who survived a deadly encounter in the previous film, ‘X,’ set in the 1970s. ‘MaXXXine’ continues the story a decade later, with Maxine now a rising star in the adult film industry. However, her newfound success is overshadowed by the emergence of a serial killer targeting young starlets in Hollywood. As the terror unfolds, it threatens to expose secrets from Maxine’s past.
During the screen test, the film is described as “over-the-top gore” and a homage to Dario Argento and the Giallo genre.
The film is produced by Goth, Jacob Jaffke, West, Kevin Turen, and Harrison Kreiss, with production companies Motel Mojave and Access Entertainment.
‘MaXXXine’ is set to be released in the United States on July 5, 2024, by A24.
