According to Puck, Tom Cruise is very frustrated about the IMAX exclusivity of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” due to Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Cruise has been complaining to Paramount executives and calling studio and theater executives to secure more premium screens. The film was made for IMAX and Dolby theaters but will have a limited run in IMAX.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. According to the film’s plot, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF team must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins.
