The seventh installment of the Mission: Impossible film series, ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,’ is scheduled to release in China just two days after its US release on July 12, 2023. Chinese audiences won’t have to wait long, as the movie will debut in theaters on July 14, 2023.

According to Puck, Tom Cruise is very frustrated about the IMAX exclusivity of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” due to Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Cruise has been complaining to Paramount executives and calling studio and theater executives to secure more premium screens. The film was made for IMAX and Dolby theaters but will have a limited run in IMAX.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. According to the film’s plot, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF team must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than the mission — not even the lives of those he cares about most.
