Netflix has Canceled “Uncoupled” after one season. The show, created by Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, has not been renewed for a second season. According to THR, the show’s abrupt cancellation comes as no surprise; it has no effect on Netflix’s top ten watch hours. “Uncoupled” season 1 premiered on Netflix on July 29, 2022. According to the top 10 list, “Uncoupled” season 1 ranked 10th position.
“Uncoupled” stars Neil Patrick Harris as Michael Lawson, a newly single gay Manhattanite who enters the dating scene for the first time in 17 years after his long-term boyfriend suddenly leaves him. As he adjusts to being single in his late 40s, he finds that the gay dating world has changed since he was in a relationship, and he soon realized that he must act if he does not want to stay single forever. According to Netflix subscribers, The show has a great gay-themed plot with top-notch writing, is fun, hot, relatable, and touching, and Patrick Harris’ performance is outstanding.
The series also stars Tuc Watkins as Colin McKenna, Tisha Campbell as Suzanne Prentiss, Marcia Gay Harden as Claire Lewis, Emerson Brooks as Billy Burns, and Brooks Ashmanskas as Stanley James. The recurring stars are André De Shields as Jack, Colin Hanlon as Jonathan #1, Jai Rodriguez as Jonathan #2, Nic Rouleau as Tyler Hawkins, Jasai Chase Owens as Kai Prentiss, Stephanie Faracy as Lisa Lawson, and Byron Jennings as Ben Lawson.
