Netflix has released the trailer for ‘Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver,’ which you can watch below.
From Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind 300, Man of Steel, and Army of the Dead, Rebel Moon is a 2-part movie event decades in the making.
What is the Plot of ‘Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver’?
‘Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver’ continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.
Sofia Boutella returns to fight another day as Kora, the titular Scargiver, and Skrein rises from the grave as the evil Atticus Noble. The other rebels introduced in Part One are also back, including Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of evolving robot guardian Jimmy. Part Two also stars Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, Elise Duffy, Sky Yang, and Charlotte Maggi.
In an interview with EW, Snyder revealed that ‘The Scargiver’ is a war movie. He said, “Part Two is a war movie.” Snyder added, “We know that Noble’s alive, and Belisarius has given him the task of finding his daughter and bringing her back to him at all costs. So the stakes have risen for the village from ‘hey, we want some of your grain’ to now ‘you’re harboring the most wanted fugitive in the history of the galaxy.’”
Snyder continued, “The title has to do with Kora.” Snyder added, “We learn something in Part Two about Kora’s ‘crimes,’ what she’s wanted for, and why the Imperium is after her.”
‘Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver’ premieres on Netflix on April 19, 2024.
