Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World is currently undergoing reshoots with Anthony Mackie in Los Angeles as of November 11, 2024.
New set images have surfaced showing Mackie filming additional scenes for the film. There are also rumors that this may be a post-credits scene rather than a reshoot.
Brave New World already has a massive budget of $350–$375 million following multiple reshoots—making it one of the most expensive films ever made. The film’s new trailer was released during Disney’s D23 event in Brazil, raising expectations that it will be a standout entry in the franchise.
Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, Rosa Salazar, and Xosha Roquemore.
Here’s the plot synopsis for Captain America: Brave New World:
“After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
Matthew Schmidt will serve as an editor on ‘Brave New World.’ The Russo Brothers will serve as producers on the film alongside Kevin Feige, Nate Moore, and Malcolm Spellman.
Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
