The Marvels is a sequel to “Captain Marvel” (2019), continues the “Ms. Marvel” miniseries (2022), and is the 33rd film in the MCU. Directed by Nia DaCosta, it stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. The story revolves around Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan swapping places when they use their powers and join forces. Most recently, the film’s post-credits details were revealed.

In response to the backlash against Brie Larson’s portrayal of Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Samuel L. Jackson, her longtime co-star, addressed the issue. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Jackson described Larson as an unapologetic feminist and acknowledged that both Marvel fans and “incel dudes” may have to come to terms with it.
