“House of the Dragon” is serving as a prequel to “Game of Thrones.” Set about 100 years after the Targaryen Conquest, it follows the events leading to the “Dance of the Dragons” war. The first season premiered in August 2022, and the series has been renewed for a second season by HBO, with Ryan Condal as the showrunner. The series was created by George R. R. Martin and Condal for HBO.

‘House of the Dragon’ season 2 will consist of eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere on Max in 2024.
