Preston Mutanga, the creator of the LEGO universe for ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ has recently shared a new clip from the film, featuring a scene rendered in Lego mode. The scene depicts Miles Morales saying, “I gotta go home, man,” as he returns from the Spider Society to his universe. See the clip below.

Preston Mutanga, a 14-year-old kid, recreated the ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ trailers and also animated the LEGO scenes in the film. Preston, known as “LEGOMe_TheOG” on Twitter, used his skills to bring the LEGO universe to life in Across the Spider-Verse. In an interview with the New York Times, Mutanga said, “I also used to make comics when I was younger.” He added, “Looking back at them now, they’re not the greatest; I’m not going to lie, but it was good practice for telling stories.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has achieved remarkable success at the worldwide box office, grossing over $494 million, surpassing its predecessor, and securing its position as the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2023. Also, fans can look forward to a third installment, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is slated for release on March 29, 2024. Additionally, a spin-off film centered around a female protagonist, Spider-Woman, is currently in development.

According to the film’s plot:

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
