Rachel Brosnahan describes her portrayal of Lois Lane in James Gunn‘s ‘Superman: Legacy‘ as “feisty, marvelous, and fiercely intelligent.”
At the Critics Choice Awards 2024, Brosnahan shared with Entertainment Tonight that she will be playing a “fiercely intelligent” Lois Lane in ‘Superman: Legacy.’ She aims to honor the source material while adding her own touch to the character.
Brosnahan said, “I’ve really enjoyed the collaboration with James Gunn so far.” Brosnahan added, “Every single person involved with this production is such a perfect nerd for Superman. We all grew up watching movies, and some of us grew up reading comics. I feel like it’s being made with so much love, and I think this Superman will have a sense of humor. I’m rolling through my brain all the things I’m not allowed to say. But we’re excited to both put our spin on things and also honor this material that we all love so much.”
Speaking to the Associated Press, Brosnahan said, “We have big shoes to fill, but we’re excited to try and fill them. The best part about working on this is that from top to bottom, from James to Peter Safran, everyone at DC and David, we’re all just nerds.
We already reported that ‘Superman: Legacy’ is scheduled to begin filming in Atlanta, GA, United States, on March 4, 2024. The original filming start date was set for January 2024, but Gunn has already confirmed that pre-production is currently underway.
