Marvel is developing the upcoming Disney+ series ‘Marvel Zombies.’
As per reports, Blade is reportedly set to become the new Fist of Khonshu in the ‘Marvel Zombies’ series and Mahershala Ali will be voicing Blade.
In Marvel Comics, Khonshu, the ancient Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance, is mainly associated with the character Moon Knight. Meanwhile, Blade, also known as Eric Brooks, is a vampire hunter and a half-vampire with superhuman abilities such as enhanced strength, speed, agility, senses, and accelerated healing.
Khonshu appeared in the MCU’s show ‘Moon Knight,’ streaming on Disney+. The series follows the story of Marc Spector (played by Oscar Isaac), a former Marine, CIA operative, and mercenary who becomes the avatar of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

The upcoming show will continue the storyline from “What If… Zombies?!” that debuted in September 2021. In the final moments of the episode, Spider-Man, Scott Lang, T’Challa, and the Cloak manage to escape in a quadjet, while Banner bravely sacrifices himself, transforming into the Hulk to confront Maximoff and a relentless zombie horde. The survivors, aiming to broadcast the Mind Stone’s energy globally, set course for Wakanda. However, they are unaware that the nation has fallen under the control of a zombified Thanos, armed with a nearly-complete Infinity Gauntlet.
According to Marvel, ‘Marvel Zombies’ will be part of ‘Marvel Spotlight,’ taking inspiration from Marvel Comics. The series is set to deliver character-driven stories with street-level stories in an R-rated version. Other projects in this lineup include Nova, Ghost Rider, Sentry, Man-Thing, Ten Rings, Blade, Wonder Man, Punisher, White Tiger, and Daughters of Liberty.
In ‘Marvel Zombies,’ Zombie Scarlet Witch, also known as The Dead Queen, will be the main villain leading an army of zombies, with Zombie Okoye as her second-in-command.
‘Marvel Zombies’ is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
