The second season of ‘House of the Dragon‘ will premiere in two weeks with its debut episode. The first episode, titled “A Son For a Son,” is 64 minutes long and will premiere on Max on June 16, 2024.

According to HBO’s official schedule, Episode 2 airing on June 23 will be the longest episode of House of the Dragon yet, spanning 72 minutes. The episode “contains adult content, adult language, brief nudity, and violence.” It also ranks as the 6th longest episode, including Game of Thrones. You can expect more episodes to be longer as well.

‘House of the Dragon’ is serving as a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones.’ Set about 100 years after the Targaryen Conquest, it follows the events leading to the “Dance of the Dragons” war. The first season premiered in August 2022, and the series has been renewed for a second season by HBO, with Ryan Condal as the showrunner. The series was created by George R. R. Martin and Condal for HBO.
