Marvel Studios has already revealed how powerful Lewis Pullman’s Sentry is in the MCU with Thunderbolts*. Now, in Avengers: Doomsday, he is going to show more power than ever and will stop a multiverse Incursion.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Avengers: Doomsday will feature a scene where Sentry stops a multiverse Incursion with his bare hands.
In Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers (2012) comic, Hyperion stays behind on a doomed Earth as another universe collides with it. He literally holds the two worlds apart with his strength to buy time for others to escape.
It is reported that Sentry’s role in the final act of Avengers: Doomsday is being described as “crazy.”
In Doomsday, a major event will cause Bob to lose control and unleash the true monster version of the Void. Professor X will try to stop it with his telepathic powers before it kills the heroes.
As previously reported, Bob’s past with his mother, Annie Reynolds, will be explored through emotional flashbacks when Charles Xavier uses his telepathic powers.
In a recent interview with Esquire, Pullman said Avengers: Doomsday will not end up being a cameo fest.
He added, “Every character has their moment that builds the dimensions of them. The Russo Brothers did that so well. They do not want anyone just sitting in the background — they really took to heart the responsibility of having some of the best actors in the world all together. There are a lot of really exciting pairings that happen, and fans will be thrilled. It’s so fun to dream about — what if A and B worked together? Would B and D work together? You get to see many of those fantasies come to fruition.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
