Vin Diesel wants the Iron Man Star To Be A Member Of His Fast Family
Vin Diesel wants Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. to play the antagonist in Fast & Furious 11. The tenth main installment of Fast & Furious is titled “Fast X,” and it is set to be released in theaters on May 19, 2023.
When asked who the next villain in the Fast & Furious franchise will be, Diesel instantly mentioned RDJ. He said, “Without telling you too much about what happens in the future, there’s a character who is the antithesis of Dom who is promoting AI and driverless cars and a philosophy that with that goes your freedom,” Diesel said. “There is somebody that believes that’s future, and that’s at direct odds with the Toretto mentality.”
Downey’s next appearance will be in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. He plays the character Lewis Strauss. Universal Pictures plans to release Oppenheimer in theaters worldwide on July 21, 2023.
The Fast and Furious franchise already features a large number of A-list Hollywood actors. Fast X has a reported budget of $340 million, making it the fifth-most expensive film ever filmed. If Downey is added to the final installment, it will be the highest-budget film in history.
