British singer Rita Ora has been cast as the villain in an upcoming Marvel Studios project.
According to The Sun, a person who attended the 2024 British Fashion Awards claims that Ora confirmed the news at the event. She will play a villain in an upcoming MCU film.
The person said, ‘Rita was dressed like a baddie from a Marvel film, and when someone commented on it, she let slip that she has a part in a new Marvel film.’
“She confirmed she had landed the role of someone evil and that she was super excited about getting stuck into it.”
Rita’s husband, Taika Waititi, directed two MCU films, including Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). However, Waititi will definitely not be returning to direct Thor 4.
Who will Ora play in the MCU? She has confirmed she will play a villain in an upcoming project. Upcoming MCU films include Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man 4, and Avengers: Secret Wars. Hopefully, she will be cast in one of these.
Ora has appeared in several films, including Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), where she played Mia Grey, the younger sister of Christian Grey. She reprised the role in the sequels Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018). Additionally, she made cameo appearances in Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019). Ora also starred in Southpaw (2015), Twist (2021), Wonderwell (2023), and is set to appear in Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024).
