Rosamund Pike (‘Saltburn,’ ‘I Care a Lot’) is set to star in a House of Cards-style thriller set in Silicon Valley, produced by Scott Galloway and Michael Eisenberg. Streamers like Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and others have shown interest in acquiring the project.
According to Puck News, “Pike is set to star in a “House of Cards-style thriller set in Silicon Valley. Scott Z. Burns (Contagion) is writing, Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res (The Morning Show) is producing, and Galloway is playing a big role in the pitches around town.”
“HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and others have shown strong interest, though given his harsh critiques of Big Tech, it’s uncertain if the pure streamers will sign up for it.”
Pike, who earned an Oscar nomination in 2015 for Gone Girl, reflects on her career. “I’m not wildly ambitious for myself as a producer,” she says. “Acting is my great love. It’s something that I need to do, and on a very simple level, it’s who I am. Success has been a by-product of that, and one that I didn’t anticipate, but I’m not validated by success as much as I’m validated by being allowed to do this as a job. As a young child, I knew this was what I was going to do.”
Pike recently joined the cast of ‘Now You See Me 3’ and will next be seen in Guy Ritchie’s In the Grey, alongside Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González. The film is set to be released in the United States on January 17, 2025, by Lionsgate.
