Warner Bros. Pictures has released the new trailer for Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Elijah and Elias, and Hailee Steinfeld as Mary, the vampire. Watch the trailer below.
The trailer looks insane, as it will be a great period vampire thriller. There is a point here: “You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.” Jordan’s twins are trying to defend their hometown, while in a scene, Steinfeld as the vampire says, “Ooh, we gon’ kill every last one of you.”
At a virtual press conference for the movie’s trailer launch (via THR), Coogler revealed that vampires are “not the only supernatural element” in the film. He also shared that Christopher Nolan gave advice on filming the movie with 65mm. Composer Ludwig Göransson was on set daily and earned an executive producer credit.
Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, the film’s synopsis reads: “Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.”
The cast includes Jordan as Elijah and Elias, Steinfeld as Mary, Miles Caton as Sammy, Jack O’Connell as Remmick, Wunmi Mosaku as Annie, Jayme Lawson as Pearl, Omar Benson Miller as Cornbread, Li Jun Li as Grace, Delroy Lindo as Slim, Lola Kirke, Yao, Peter Dreimanis, Christian Robinson, and Jermaine McTizic.
The film is produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Ryan Coogler, with executive producers Göransson, Will Greenfield, and Rebecca Cho.
Coogler’s behind-the-camera collaborators include his Black Panther franchise team: director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Proximity Media Production: Sinners. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters nationwide on April 18, 2025, and internationally starting on April 16, 2025.
