Marvel’s most fan awaiting ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ is just a step to the release and Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy shared the early villain who was considered for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. According to them, Mephisto, a demon and Lord of the Splinter Realms was considered to be the villain early in the process.
Who Was Considered the Villain in the Early Plans of Deadpool & Wolverine?
In a recent interview with Collider, Deadpool & Wolverine stars Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, along with director Shawn Levy, discussed the film’s expectations for the superhero genre.
During the conversation, Levy asked, “What was the name of the villain we flirted with?” to which Reynolds replied, “Mephisto.”
Levy continued, “[Mephisto] That’s who it was. We went through a lot of “almost” versions of this story before we landed. Frankly, it was the infamous call from Hugh, but then it was this idea of Cassandra Nova as a sibling to Charles because Cassandra’s link to Professor X creates an interesting dynamic and fascination in Cassandra about you [to Jackman].”
Who is Mephisto in Marvel?

Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool & Wolverine:
Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date—”Deadpool & Wolverine.” A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to— F***. Synopses are so fuck*** stupid.
