Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion‘ Episode 4, titled “Beloved,” is now streaming on Disney+. The episode starts with Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir), who suspected G’iah (Emilia Clarke) of betrayal, shooting her. However, G’iah miraculously survives by using Extremis DNA to heal her injuries.
In the following scene, Priscilla Fury (Charlayne Woodard) meets Rhodey (Don Cheadle) and reveals that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has been fired. Rhodey admits that he was the one who fired Fury and it is revealed Rhodey is a member of the Skrulls. The real Rhodey is trapped in Gravik’s confinement. Rhodey instructs Priscilla to kill Fury without showing any emotions, unaware that Fury is secretly listening.
G’iah and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) have a meeting, where G’iah proposes a plan to save the Skrulls. However, Talos prefers a peaceful approach, which G’iah strongly disagrees with.
When Priscilla returns home, she discovers Fury waiting for her, armed with a pistol and intending to kill him. However, Fury is taken aback when Priscilla reveals the truth about his real wife, Dr. Priscilla Davis. She had a congenital heart defect that she kept secret. Priscilla explains that she visited Dr. Priscilla Davis in the hospital during her final moments. Dr. Priscilla Davis made three requests: to have her body buried in the ocean, for Priscilla to stay with her parents, and for Fury to remain unharmed by Priscilla. These requests made Fury realize that Priscilla, the Skrull posing as his wife, also possesses a good heart. As a result, he decides to leave without carrying out his original plan.
Fury visits Rhodey’s house and requests to regain his position, but Rhodey refuses. Fury already knows Rhodey is a Skrull. Rhodey shows Fury footage of him killing Maria Hill and threatens to expose him, making it impossible for anyone to trust him. As a result, Rhodey kicked Fury out of his house.
In the final scenes, Gravik and his army devise a plan to attack the president. While en route in a car, Gravik launches an assault on the president, prompting Fury and Talos to intervene. Tragically, Talos is shot, and Gravik fatally stabs him with a knife. Unable to save Talos, Fury decides to prioritize saving the president.
