Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy wants to make a Deadpool and Spider-Man team-up film, which is a highly funny combo in the Marvel comics and cartoons.
Will Shawn Levy Direct a Deadpool and Spider-Man Film?
In the new Total Film (Games Radar) issue, Levy says he is interested in making a potential crossover with Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man and Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool.
Levy said, “The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity.” Levy added, “But, boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.”
In Marvel Comics, The dynamic duo Spider-Man and Deadpool teamed up in “Spider-Man/Deadpool” series (2016-2019) by Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness. They also appear together in “Cable and Deadpool #24-25” (2006), “Amazing Spider-Man #611” (2009), “Deadpool: Suicide Kings #2” (2009), “Avenging Spider-Man #12-13” (2012), and “Deadpool Annual #2” (2014). They have created a blending of humor and action.
Sony and Marvel are currently searching for a director for Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4,’ with Levy as a top contender, and the studios are awaiting his decision. Filming is scheduled to begin in late September 2024. If Levy could add a scene between Peter Parker and Wade Wilson, it could be amazing.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ tickets are now on sale at Fandango, AMC, IMAX, and Cinemark. In the Levy-directed film, Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
In Marvel Studios ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, Wade Wilson is confronted by the TVA, which pulls him from a seemingly quiet life and results in Deadpool being unleashed.
The film will be released on IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide on July 26, 2024.
