A sequel to Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is reportedly in development at Warner Bros. Pictures.
According to the latest issue of Production Weekly, Sinners 2 is currently in development. As of now, there is no official confirmation from the studio.
Sinners was acquired by Warner Bros. under Coogler’s terms. With a production budget of $90M, the film grossed $259.94M domestically and $79M internationally. The worldwide gross stands at $340M.

The post-credits scene of Sinners already hints that a sequel is possible. Sixty years after the main events, an elderly Sammie (Miles Caton) performs at his blues club in Chicago. After his set, he is visited by an unaged Stack (Michael B. Jordan) and Mary (Hailee Steinfeld). Stack reveals that Smoke spared his life all those years ago on one condition — that Sammie would live in peace. The couple offers Sammie immortality, but he declines. Before they leave, Sammie plays a song for them. He says that, despite the horrors of that night, it was the greatest day of his life. Stack agrees, saying it was the last time he saw Smoke or the sun — and the only time he ever truly felt free.
