Paramount Pictures released the most awaited first trailer for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3,’ the sequel to 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The trailer is extraordinary as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow the Hedgehog. Watch the trailer above.
The plot details are kept under wraps. As we can see from the first trailer—Sonic is now facing Shadow the Hedgehog, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are unable to touch Shadow—which causes trouble for the world. Sonic is seeking help from Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Will they defeat Shadow?
Directed by Jeff Fowler, with a screenplay by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on a story by Casey and Miller. The film stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic the Hedgehog, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Miles “Tails” Prower, Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog, and Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna. The live-action cast includes James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, Krysten Ritter as Captain Rockwell, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Tom Butler as Commander Walters, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone, Alyla Browne as Maria, James Wolk, Sofia Pernas, Cristo Fernández, and Jorma Taccone. There is a flaw in the CGI that may be fixed before the release. Carrey is also playing Gerald Robotnik.

With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.
In a recent interview with Animation Scoop, director Fowler said, “Sonic 3 is a big movie, and it’s ambitious, and I think fans are going to absolutely love it. So fortunately Jim was into it and excited and was willing to come back.”
