Box office reports: ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘ shattered box office records with an astounding $51.8 million on its opening day, making it the biggest debut of 2023 so far. The film is projected to earn $113.5 million in its opening weekend. This would be the 3rd highest domestic opening ever for an animated movie and also the highest ever for Sony Animation.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the “Spider-Verse“.
