Universal Pictures has fixed the theatrical release date for Steven Spielberg’s next “untitled UFO film.” According to Deadline, the film will be released on May 15, 2026.
The film’s script is penned by ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘War of the Worlds’ writer David Koepp. It was first reported to be written by Tony Kushner, but he has been replaced. Spielberg has always been a legend in Hollywood, and he is well known for iconic films such as “Jaws,” “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Jurassic Park,” “Schindler’s List,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
The film based on UFO is Spielberg’s original idea. Although there are no specific plot details available, Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2025.
During an interview with CBS News, Spielberg said, “Every one of my movies is a personal movie.” Spielberg added, “I don’t make films that I don’t consider to have something of myself left behind in them.”
“The Fabelmans,” which was released in 2022, is the last film Spielberg directed, and the film received seven Academy Award nominations, including for Directing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Picture.
The film will hit theaters on May 15, 2026, by Universal Pictures.
