After the weekend, the production of James Gunn‘s ‘Superman‘ has resumed in Cleveland. The scene currently being filmed is a fight in Metropolis. The images show David Corenswet‘s Superman stuck in a hole beside the road. The images seem funny—how can Superman be stuck? See the images below.
According to Crain’s Cleveland, ‘Superman’ filming will continue until July 20. Additionally, Cleveland.com wrote on the X (Twitter) platform, “Superman actor David Corenswet was seen Wednesday inside what’s been described as a sinkhole or a mortar hole by crew members. The set is outside the PNC Bank Building in Cleveland.”
In the film, Corenswet plays the role of Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
Gunn confirmed that he respects old Superman movies and that the script he made was definitely a sincere superhero movie. The film will be the DC Universe’s first film and the third installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, created by Gunn and Peter Safran. The film is being shot entirely in IMAX.
The updated logline for ‘Superman’ reveals that Superman, now a cub reporter in Metropolis, sets out on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
Gunn’s ‘Superman’ will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
