Sydney Sweeney is now part of the Spider-Verse, playing the role of Julia Cornwall/Spider-Woman in Sony’s ‘Madame Web‘. Recently, Sweeney revealed that she would return to the Spider-Verse if given the chance to share the screen with Zendaya.
Sweeney and Zendaya have already shared screen space on the HBO show ‘Euphoria‘, with season 3 currently in development.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Sweeney expressed her interest in returning to Sony’s Spider-Man franchise if allowed to share the screen with Zendaya.
Sweeney said, “Oh my God, yeah, that’d be so cool.”
Meanwhile, ‘Madame Web’ was released in theaters in February 2024, becoming the biggest box-office flop. Directed by S. J. Clarkson from a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film is the sixth installment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film stars Dakota Johnson as Madame Web, Sweeney as Julia Cornwall, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet.
In the MCU, Zendaya portrayed the role of MJ. Following ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, her return for the fourth movie is yet to be confirmed. However, rumors came that she may join Tom Holland in ‘Spider-Man 4‘.
‘Madame Web’ is now available on digital HD platforms.
