The reports that hint Taylor Swift is joining the MCU are coming true with the latest sources.
According to insider Daniel Richtman on his Patreon page, Marvel Studios is developing a ‘Blonde Phantom‘ series for Disney+ and they’re considering Swift for the lead role.
The show will be set in 1950s Las Vegas, with Louise Grant Mason, a.k.a. Blonde Phantom, who fights crime as a spy. Marvel hasn’t officially announced the show yet, but we can confirm they’ll make it soon.
Who is Blonde Phantom in Marvel Comics?
In Marvel Comics, Louise Grant Mason/The Blonde Phantom is a spy and a costumed crimefighter. She was a secretary for private investigator Marc Mason (later revealed to be her husband), and she eventually adopted the persona of the Blonde Phantom to help him in his cases. She is one of the early female superheroes in Marvel Comics and has appeared in various storylines over the years, often teaming up with other heroes like the Human Torch and the Sub-Mariner. She doesn’t have any superhuman powers. Instead, she believes in her intelligence, athleticism, and fighting abilities to combat crime.
Recently, we have detailed that Swift had a “good” meeting with Marvel President Kevin Feige for a role in the MCU. The previous rumors were that Swift was playing the role of The Dazzler in the MCU and would appear in Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘.
In a recent interview with Fandango, when asked if Swift or Blake Lively is doing a cameo in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, Ryan Reynolds replied, “There’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. I saw one that was convinced Elvis is in the movie. Anything could happen. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will hit theaters on July 26, 2024. The tickets are on sale at Fandango, AMC, IMAX, and Cinemark. The film will be released on IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide.
