Taylor Swift‘s ‘The Eras Tour‘ concert film will have its world premiere on October 11th in Los Angeles, with the venue to be announced. AMC Theatres, the largest theater chain in the U.S. and the world, confirmed this highly anticipated event as a highlight of the fall theatrical release calendar.
Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ movie lasts around 2 hours and 45 minutes. Tickets cost $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children. AMC Theaters will have special popcorn tubs and cups with Eras Tour designs for the concert film. Directed by Sam Wrench.
Recently, ‘The Eras Tour’ set a new record at AMC in the U.S. by generating over $26 million in ticket sales revenue in a single day, breaking the previous record for single-day advance ticket sales.
A few weeks ago, the Eras Tour raked in over $65 million in presales from top U.S. circuits, Canada, and Mexico. Some believe it could open with $100 million, but even $75 million would surpass the box office of major concert films by Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and Miley Cyrus. It even outperforms the Spice Girls’ ‘Spice World’ musical film, which made $56 million globally in 1997.
The film will be in theaters on October 13, 2023, including IMAX theaters nationwide. Its world premiere is two days earlier, on October 11, in over 7,500 cinemas worldwide at 6 PM local time, spanning more than 100 countries.
