Rupert Sanders‘ ‘The Crow‘ VOD release date has been revealed—the film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on September 13, 2024.
Directed by Sanders and written by Zach Baylin and William Schneider—the film is a reboot of The Crow series. It is the fifth installment in the franchise and the second film, after the 1994 original, to adapt James O’Barr’s 1989 comic book series.
What is the Plot of The Crow?
In ‘The Crow,’ Bill Skarsgård takes on the iconic role of The Crow in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr. Soulmates Eric (Skarsgård) and Shelly (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.
Skarsgård stars as Eric / The Crow, with FKA Twigs as Shelly, Eric’s girlfriend. Danny Huston plays Vincent Roeg, a demonic crime lord, while Josette Simon portrays Sophia, Shelly’s mother. Laura Birn takes on the role of Marian, Roeg’s right-hand woman, and Sami Bouajila appears as Kronos, a spirit that guides Eric in his mission. Isabella Wei is cast as Zadie, Shelly’s friend, and Jordan Bolger plays Chance, a tattoo artist and friend of Eric and Shelly.
