'The Mandalorian and Grogu' Reportedly Budgeted at $120M for Production

The estimated budget for ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu‘ reportedly stands at $120M, which is lower than the cost of one season of the series.

According to The Bespin Bulletin, The first season of The Mandalorian cost $120 million, with each episode at $15 million. So, the budget for The Mandalorian & Grogu isn’t expected to exceed $120 million. This fits Disney’s plan to cut costs for movies over $250 million, but inflation may affect these numbers.

Production List has confirmed that filming for ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ is set to begin on June 17, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA, United States. Directed by Jon Favreau, and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni.

Just excited to talk about the future of what we’re doing.”

In an interview, Favreau said, “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created” Favreau added, “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
