The first trailer for Jon Favreau‘s The Mandalorian and Grogu, starring Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, was screened during the Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 panel. Following that, the trailer was leaked online.

The trailer shows Weaver’s character hiring Din Djarin (Pascal) for a job. The Mandalorian defeats several Snowtroopers inside an AT-AT in a one-shot sequence. It also features an AT-AT battle sequence and offers a first glimpse of Jeremy Allen White as Jabba’s son, Rotta the Hutt. Watch the trailer below.
On X, the official Star Wars account has shared the logo for The Mandalorian and Grogu, along with the release date.

Directed by Favreau from a screenplay co-written by Favreau and Dave Filoni, it is part of the Star Wars franchise and a continuation of the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian.

In The Mandalorian and Grogu, a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin, is assigned to capture Grogu, a mysterious and adorable creature. However, he forms a strong bond with Grogu and endeavors to protect him from numerous threats, while navigating his evolving role in a post-Empire galaxy.
The film stars Pascal as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian, along with Grogu, Sigourney Weaver, Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, and Jonny Coyne as an Imperial Warlord, while Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios from the animated series Star Wars Rebels also makes an appearance.
The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Favreau, Filoni, and Ian Bryce.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will hit theaters on May 22, 2026, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
