The “Megamind” TV series titled “Megamind’s Guide to Defending Your City” is set to premiere in 2024. The series is produced by DreamWorks Animation.
According to Deadline, Megamind’s Guide to Defending Your City will be a follow-up to the 2010 movie, where Megamind goes from being a supervillain and the scourge of Metro City to a superhero who’s learning on the job. He’ll be bringing the audience along for the ride, as Megamind’s trusty brain bots will be recording everything, making him the world’s first superhero influencer.
The original film’s writers, Alan Schoolcraft, and Brent Simons, will executive produce the series alongside Eric Fogel. JD Ryznar serves as co-executive producer and story editor.
Megamind was released in 2010. The film is directed by Tom McGrath and tells the story of Megamind, an alien supervillain who finally defeats his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man. However, Megamind soon realizes that he has no purpose without a hero to fight against, and he creates a new superhero to battle, who turns out to be more than he bargained for. The film grossed $321 million worldwide. Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, David Cross, and Brad Pitt were the voice actors.
