The remastered version of The Thing, a 2002 action-adventure game based on John Carpenter‘s classic 1982 film, is in development at Nightdive Studios.
Yeah! The Thing is coming back to life with The Thing: Remastered later this year on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Watch the trailer below.
Here’s the official synopsis for The Thing: Remastered:
“Set after the events of the 1982 John Carpenter movie, The Thing: Remastered is a squad-based 3rd person shooter, where each member of your team is equipped with a range of weapons and items to help you in your quest to destroy The Thing.”
What improvements have been made in The Thing: Remastered?
According to IGN, Nightdive Studios has made major improvements to character models, textures, and animations. The game also features advanced 3D rendering for updated lighting and atmospheric effects. The game supports up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second (FPS).
Are there any new features in The Thing: Remastered?
Yes, the remastered version includes Trophies and Achievements on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
