The filming of Netflix’s ‘The Witcher‘ Season 4 is confirmed to begin on April 8, 2024, in London, United Kingdom, as announced by Production List.
In season 4, Liam Hemsworth will take over the role of Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill. Recently, Laurence Fishburne has been cast as Regis, a world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past, Season 4.
Fishburne told Netflix “I’m very excited to be joining the cast and look forward to exploring the wondrous world of The Witcher.”
According to the show’s Season 4 summary on Production List, “Witchers, who are monster hunters with training and body modification, develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle deadly monsters.”
In a social media statement, Cavill said, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4. In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”
