Theo James (The White Lotus) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train) are set to star in David Mackenzie‘s new heist thriller ‘Fuze‘.
According to the film’s plot, “Fuze opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, sparking a mass evacuation—the perfect cover for a heist.”
The film is directed by Mackenzie (Hell or High Water) from a screenplay by Ben Hopkins (Limonov: The Ballad of Eddie). Filming is scheduled to begin in July 2024.
Gillian Berrie from Sigma Films, Sebastien Raybaud, and Callum Grant from Anton are producing, with Giles Nuttgens as the cinematographer. Anton is financing with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent co-representing the U.S. rights.
James is known for ‘Divergent,’ ‘The Gentlemen,’ and ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife.’ He earned his first Emmy nomination for ‘The White Lotus’ Season 2. Next, catch him in Stephen King’s ‘The Monkey’ with Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood, sold to Neon from Cannes. ‘Fuze’ reunites Aaron Taylor-Johnson and director David Mackenzie from ‘Hell or High Water.’ Taylor-Johnson is also set to star in Marvel’s ‘Kraven and the Hunter’ and Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu.’
‘Fuze’ is set to hit theaters in 2025, with the exact release date to be announced (TBA).
