After 16 years, Tim Blake Nelson is returning to his MCU role as Samuel Sterns. He last appeared in 2008’s ‘The Incredible Hulk‘ and will now return in Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ where he will be seen as The Leader.

Tim Blake Nelson Will Be Part of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Reshoots

In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Blake Nelson says he is going to Atlanta tomorrow for the reshoots of ‘Brave New World’. Also, he says he is so excited to join again with Marvel. He will star alongside Anthony Mackie, Giancarlo Esposito, Danny Ramirez, Harrison Ford, Liv Tyler, and Rosa Salazar in the reshoot.

Blake Nelson said, “Very excited about it. I’m headed to Atlanta tomorrow to continue working on that. It’s been very exciting to bring back a character from 16 years ago and imagine how he has aged with me and how that has manifested.”

The Leader will Have a Comic Accurate Look, Confirms Tim Blake Nelson

Speaking to ComicBookMovie.com, Blake Nelson will have a more accurate comic look as The Leader in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’. Nelson said, “Really excited. I had a great time filming it.” Nelson added, “And [I] worked with the Marvel team and this wonderful makeup artist named David Atherton, with whom I’ve collaborated on a dozen movies now.”

“I think people are going to be pretty excited about what this guy looks like. And what he has to say and what he does,” he teased. “All power to the amazing team over there at Marvel.”

Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Tyler as Betty Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, and Xosha Roquemore.

The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Nate Moore, and Malcolm Spellman.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
