According to the film’s plot synopsis:
Twenty years after their notorious tabloid romance gripped the nation, a married couple (Julianne Moore and Charles Melton) buckles under the pressure when an actress (Natalie Portman) arrives to do research for a film about their past.
Todd Haynes, known for his critically acclaimed films such as “Carol” and “Far From Heaven,” directs the film, while the screenplay was written by Samy Burch based on a story co-created with Alex Mechanik. The film also stars Piper Curda as Honor Atherton-Yoo, Elizabeth Yu as Mary Atherton-Yoo, and Gabriel Chung as Charlie Atherton-Yoo.
The film is produced by Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell, Christine Vachon, Pam Koffler, Natalie Portman, and Sophie Mas.
