A new update on Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4 has been revealed. Marvel Studios is searching for two male actors for the film.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, who shared the update on his Patreon, Marvel is looking to cast a male in his early 20s whose character has been described as a “resourceful young man” for Spider-Man 4. Additionally, they are seeking another male in his 30s-50s to play a villain described as “a no-nonsense authority figure who sees the world in black and white—loyal, determined, and willing to cross lines to maintain order.”

There are rumors that these two new characters could be Norman and Harry Osborn.
Sadie Sink’s Spider-Man 4 Character to Have a Mysterious Past

Sadie Sink, who recently joined the cast of Spider-Man 4 in a mystery role, will have a “mysterious past.” Her character is reportedly described as a “sharp and free-spirited woman who is strong-willed, intelligent, and not easily intimidated.”
Recently, scooper MyTimeToShineHello revealed that Spider-Man 4 will feature a female main villain. The role has already been cast, and an official announcement is coming soon.
The filming is scheduled to begin in June 2025 in the United Kingdom and is expected to wrap in October 2025. The script is reportedly still undergoing rewrites by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers following the weak structure of the early draft. The film now has a production budget of $200 million.
According to reports, Spider-Man 4 will reportedly feature a new supporting cast. The film is said to offer a fresh take on the character and a new direction under Destin Daniel Cretton. Marvel and Sony have already mapped out a plan for Spider-Man 5 and Spider-Man 6. They are planning a trilogy similar to the previous one.
Directed by Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by McKenna and Sommers, it will be the fourth installment of the Spider-Man series.
The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
