The Stranger Things star, Sadie Sink, has officially joined the cast of Marvel’s Spider-Man 4 alongside Tom Holland. According to Deadline, Sink will play a key role in the film.
The report says, “Sink will be playing—the prevailing theory is she’ll be introduced as X-Men character Jean Grey—but don’t count out the idea that she shows up as another beloved redheaded Spider-Man character, such as Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, Black Cat, or Firestar.”

Our source has already confirmed that Spider-Man 4 will introduce a new female love interest for Peter Parker. Zendaya’s role as Michelle “MJ” Jones will be limited to a brief cameo due to her scheduling conflicts with other projects. Additionally, Black Cat is a potential choice—perhaps Sink will take on the role.
Industry insider Daniel Richtman recently revealed that Spider-Man 4 will reportedly feature a new supporting cast. The film is said to introduce a fresh take on the character and a new direction under Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton.
The filming is scheduled to begin in June 2025 in the United Kingdom and is expected to wrap in October 2025. The script is reportedly still undergoing rewrites by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers following the weak structure of the early draft. The film now has a production budget of $200 million.
Directed by Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by McKenna and Sommers, it will be the fourth installment of the Spider-Man series.
The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man 4 will hit in theaters on July 24, 2026.
