Tom Rhys Harries was spotted filming a red carpet scene on the set of the upcoming DC Studios R-rated film Clayface in Stockport, UK.

The images show Hagen (Harries) attending a red carpet premiere before becoming distressed and running away, holding his face. We reported that Hagen will undergo surgery after his face is left disfigured by a mobster. During the treatment, it goes wrong and turns him into Clayface.

Below, you can see footage of Hagen (Harries) holding his eye and running from the red carpet.
From the set, it has been reported that a Zatanna connection appears in Clayface, as she is known to perform at Club Vesuvius. The Joker is also teased once again, with an old poster for The Flying Graysons spotted in the DCU’s Amusement Mile.
James Watkins directs the film from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. Based on the DC Comics villain of the same name, it will be the DCU’s third film and the sixth installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The film is described as an R-rated “Hollywood horror tale,” inspired by the Feat of Clay episodes in Batman: The Animated Series.
Plot details for Clayface:
Clayface follows an aspiring actor (Harries) whose face is disfigured by a gangster. As a last resort, he turns to a fringe, Elizabeth Holmes–style scientist for help. At first, the experiment appears successful, but—well, it wouldn’t be a horror movie if the story ended there, would it?
The film stars Harries as Matt Hagen, also known as Clayface. Naomi Ackie plays Caitlin Bates, a biotech CEO who treats Matt after he is disfigured by a mobster. Eddie Marsan portrays Clayface’s manager, while Max Minghella plays John, Caitlin Bates’ fiancé and the film’s secondary antagonist.
In a recent interview, Peter Safran revealed new details about Flanagan’s script for Clayface.
Safran said, “Clayface, you see, is a Hollywood horror story, according to our sources, using the most popular incarnation of the villain — a B-movie actor who injects himself with a substance to keep himself relevant, only to find out that he can reshape his face and form, becoming a walking piece of clay.”
Produced by James Gunn, Peter Safran, Matt Reeves, and Lynn Harris, with Chantal Nong serving as executive producer.
Clayface is scheduled to hit theaters on September 11, 2026.
