The first trailer for ‘Top Boy Season 3: The Final Chapter‘ has been revealed, along with the release date. In the trailer, we revisit the streets of East London this September as Dushane (Ashley Walters), Sully (Kane Robinson), and the rest of the Summerhouse gang make their return. Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on September 7, 2023. Watch the trailer below.
Season 3 also stars Barry Keoghan, Brian Gleeson, Simbi Ajikawo, Jasmine Jobson, Saffron Hocking, and Araloyin Oshunremi. Season 3 marks the six-episode final season of Top Boy. Myriam Raja, a participant in the Top Boy Season 1 mentee program, will direct the first four episodes, and the last two episodes will be directed by Will Stefan Smith.
Speaking to Netflix Tudum, Walters’ said, “With something as great as this, you should end on a high, and that’s what we’re doing.” He added, “We’re all battling on a daily basis to make sure that we give our audience and the fans of the show the most amazing ending that we can.”
The series is created by Ronan Bennett and is based on the fictional Summerhouse estate in Hackney, London, and follows drug dealers Dushane (Walters) and Sully (Robinson), alongside others connected to drug dealing and gang conflicts in the city.
Executive produced by the original creative team: Charles Steel and Alasdair Flind for Cowboy Films, Ronan Bennett for Easter Partisan, and Yann Demange. Also serving as executive producers are Drake and his business partner Adel “Future” Nur for DreamCrew Entertainment, LeBron James, Maverick Carter, and Jamal Henderson for SpringHill. Walters and Robinson are also executive producers.
