Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance is now playing in theaters. Everyone who watches the film has the same question: did Venom really die? The film marks the final ride of Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom, and it includes two post-credit scenes—one mid-credit and one end-credit—which are crucial to the story.

At the end of Venom: The Last Dance, Venom sacrifices himself to save Eddie. Determined to destroy the Codex and save the universe, Venom merges with the Xenophages and plunges into the acid tanks. Meanwhile, Rex Strickland (Chiwetel Ejiofor) pulls the pins on his grenades, detonating them to ensure the destruction of the Codex and the Xenophages. Eddie ultimately survives.

The end credits hint that Venom might still be alive. During the final sacrifice, Venom tells Eddie, “We will see each other soon.” In a post-credit scene, a bartender escapes Area 51 in a panic, and a cockroach appears to be fused with the Venom symbiote that Rex Strickland had previously captured.

According to reports, Venom is likely to appear in Spider-Man 4, set in the MCU and starring Tom Holland. Hardy has already confirmed that he will not return as Venom in upcoming SSU movies.

Kelly Marcel, who directed the first film will return to direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with Tom Hardy. It is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Juno Temple, Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.

In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.
