Walker Scobell will be Kidpool in Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3.’ He previously worked with Ryan Reynolds on Netflix’s ‘The Adam Project.’ Recently, Reynolds liked a tweet about Scobell’s role as Kidpool on Twitter.
In Marvel comics, Kidpool is a child version of Deadpool, known for his wisecracking personality, regenerative healing factor, and penchant for breaking the fourth wall. Kidpool first appeared in “Deadpool #2” (2008) as part of a storyline where Deadpool encounters various alternate versions of himself from different dimensions. In this storyline, Kidpool comes from an alternate reality where Deadpool is a child and possesses many of the same characteristics as the adult Deadpool, including his sense of humor and combat skills.
Deadpool 3 to Introduce Multiple Deadpool Variants
According to reports, ‘Deadpool 3’ will feature various Deadpool variants, including Lady Deadpool, Dogpool, Headpool (Zombie Deadpool), and Babypool (Baby Deadpool). As Deadpool continues his multiverse adventures, he’ll encounter various versions of himself.
The SAG-AFTRA strike has temporarily halted filming. Marvel will resume production once the strike ends, with roughly 30% of the remaining scenes yet to be filmed.
The film is directed by Shawn Levy. In the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy. According to the film’s plot: In Deadpool 3, Wade Wilson/Deadpool is arrested for time crimes involving Cable’s device in Deadpool 2. The TVA returns Cable to his original time and confiscates his time travel technology. Deadpool gets leniency and helps the TVA on a mission. Wanda’s spirit inhabits another Wanda’s body, leading to a new world where Magneto rules and mutants are the majority. Logan hijacks the TVA device to change history and ends up in different Fox worlds. Deadpool enlists Fox’s (X-men) heroes in a fight against Magneto, resulting in chaos and casualties. Wanda is depowered and banished by the TVA, and Deadpool and others are sent to the main MCU timeline. Logan searches for mutants while Deadpool finds Blind Al in his bed.
‘Deadpool 3’ hits theaters on May 3, 2024.
