DC’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” Comic Storyline
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” is a famous DC Comics crossover, written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez. It aimed to simplify the multiverse by uniting heroes against the Anti-Monitor, a cosmic threat set on destroying realities. It follows a group of retired and outlawed vigilantes who come together again after one of their former colleagues, The Comedian, is murdered. This sets off a chain of events that lead to a far-reaching conspiracy with profound implications for the world. It remains a landmark event with adaptations in various DC media.
DC’s “Watchmen”
“Watchmen” is a renowned graphic novel by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and John Higgins, published by DC Comics in 1986–1987. It presents an alternate 1980s world where superheroes shape society. The story follows retired vigilantes investigating a murder that unravels a complex conspiracy. “Watchmen” is known for its deep exploration of superhero themes, politics, and morals. In 2009, “Watchmen” was adapted into a movie directed by Zack Snyder, which closely followed the original graphic novel’s storyline. The film received both praise and criticism for its fidelity to the source material and its stylistic visuals.
DC’s latest animated movie, “Justice League: Warworld,” premiered at Comic-Con on Friday and will be available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray on July 25, 2023.
