A new clip from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been recently released, a month ahead of its global release. The clip shows an exhilarating scene with Miles Morales and Spider-Woman swinging through the city of Brooklyn. The visually stunning animated VFX in the shot is truly stunning and eye-catching. Watch the clip below.
According to the film’s plot, Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must set out on his own to save those he loves most. Anyone can wear the mask; it’s how you wear it that makes you a hero.
Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara’s Clash in Across the Spider-Verse
According to the film’s co-writers, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara will have a major clash in Across the Spider-Verse. Miller said, “He’s not the villain of the movie, but he’s sort of an antagonist to Miles because they both think that what they’re doing is the right thing.”
“I like the villains best when they reflect the journeys of the hero — sort of a dark mirror of the protagonist.” Lord said, “And I think Spot’s no different. He wants to be seen as legitimate. He’s a character that has a silly costume and is not always seen as the top tier of Spider-Man foes, but like all of us, he wants to be taken seriously.”
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and is set in the multiverse called the “Spider-Verse.” Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The film’s voice cast stars Shameik Moore as Miles alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, and Brian Tyree.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hits theaters on June 2, 2023.
