In Episode 8, “What If… the Avengers Assembled in 1602?” the synopsis follows:
“When Captain Carter is transported to an Elizabethan-era locale that’s populated by modern-day MCU figures, she’ll have to uncover the cause of the temporal anomaly that’s mysteriously stranded so many familiar heroes and villains in the year 1602.”
Elizabeth Olsen voices Scarlet Witch in ‘What If… The Avengers Assembled In 1602?’ and reports say her character is officially named Earth-1602 Wanda Merlin.
What If…? is based on the Multiverse Saga, in which the heroes appear from various universes. The first season ended with episode 9, “What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?” The Watcher formed the “Guardians of the Multiverse” heroes, featuring Captain Carter, Star-Lord T’Challa, Strange Supreme, Killmonger, Party Thor, and Black Widow. The team battles the Age of Ultron to save the multiverse. The show was created by A. C. Bradley for Disney+.
