An insider named Zippo, known for accurate Nintendo information in the past, mentioned that a new Donkey Kong game is being developed for the Nintendo Switch 2. This report didn’t provide many details about the game, but it’s being worked on at Nintendo’s EPD Tokyo studio.

In a statement, Zippo said, “I’ve gone and double-checked this with every possible source, and I can safely say EPD Tokyo’s Donkey Kong game is still very much a thing. I’m going to apologize, because, to be frank, I talked about this game way too early.” Zippo added, “The only other thing I can say about it is that it has indeed been moved to Nintendo’s next console. That’s it. When I have more, you guys will be the first to know.”
