After the epic finale of ‘Loki Season 2,’ Tom Hiddleston hinted that he’s retiring from the role, describing it as the conclusion to 14 years of his life.
During The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Hiddleston hinted he’s leaving the role of ‘Loki’ after the Season 2 finale, describing it as a full-circle moment and the conclusion to 6 films, 12 episodes, and 14 years of his life.
He said, “It all comes full circle. It’s the conclusion to season 2. It’s also the conclusion to season’s 1 and 2. It’s also the conclusion to 6 films, 12 episodes, and 14 years of my life.”
In an interview with CinemaBlend, the EP/head writer of Loki Eric Martin confirmed that Marvel Studios has no plans for a third season. The approach was like two halves of a book, with Season 1 as the first half and Season 2 closing the chapter on Loki and the TVA. Beyond that, the future remains uncertain, and the focus is on telling a complete story across these two seasons.
Martin said, “We approached this as like two halves of a book. Season one, first half. In season two, we close the book on Loki and the TVA. Where it goes beyond that, I don’t know. I just wanted to tell a full and complete story across those two seasons.”
Loki Seasons 1 and 2 are now available on Disney+.
