Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross Is Back To The MCU
The set images of Captain America: New World Order give the confirmation that Liv Tyler‘s Betty Ross is back in the MCU. On March 28, Anthony Mackie, Xosha Roquemore, and Liv Tyler were spotted while filming New World Order in an Atlanta cemetery.
In the images, it is clear that Mackie’s Sam Wilson (Captain America), Tyler’s Betty Ross, and Xosha Roquemore are attending the funeral of Harrison Ford‘s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Mackie’s hands are broken and using an arm sling.
Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross, the love interest of Bruce Banner (the Hulk), and also the daughter of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. She was first and last seen in “The Incredible Hulk (2008).” However, she has not appeared in any other MCU films since then. Betty Ross was later portrayed by another actress, Jennifer Connelly, in the Disney+ series “What If…?” which explored alternate versions of the MCU. In early 2023, It is reported that she is returning to an MCU film.
Captain America: New World Order is by Julius Onah, written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The film also stars Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, and Harrison Ford. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
According to the plot synopsis, In Captain America: New World Order, An international conflict over a new metal called Adamantium was discovered on Tiamut, the Celestial of the Eternals, which is now an island. Each country wants a piece of that new metal and claims the island as its own. Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, who is now president, wants to reclaim the island and the Adamantium at all costs, and Sam Wilson’s Captain America gets in his way by trying to stop him, by assembling a new group of heroes, including the new Falcon, to oppose him. Captain America will be fighting some other villains who are also trying to get their hands on Adamantium. it is also confirmed that a Vibranium war will occur in Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts.
Captain America: New World Order is set to be released on May 3, 2024.
