Marvel Television officially announced a new Disney+ series titled Zodiac during the Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic Con. For now, Marvel has not yet revealed details about the project beyond its title and production timeline. Marvel officially confirmed that “Zodiac will begin shooting in London in spring 2027, and the series will premiere on Disney+ in 2028.”
Recently, Knight Edge Media shared some plot details about Zodiac, describing the series as a dark British spy thriller. Casting is reportedly underway, with the production looking for three main British leads: two men and one woman. These characters are not expected to have comic book counterparts and are said to be entirely original.
Zodiac will reportedly feature a secret espionage organization inspired by Kingsman. According to the rumor, the group will have only 12 members, each representing a zodiac sign, such as Agent Leo and Agent Gemini.
Zodiac is a powerful criminal organization in Marvel Comics built around the 12 astrological signs. Founded by Cornelius van Lunt, the group is structured around 12 leaders, with each one representing a sign such as Aries, Taurus, Gemini, or Scorpio.
In the official Zodiac logo card, the “O” and “A” symbols are visible. The “O” resembles an icon from the comic Dark Reign: The List – Secret Warriors #1, while the “A” appears similar to a version of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo. Zodiac could be connected to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clark Gregg, who played Agent Phil Coulson in Phase One of the MCU and throughout Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., also shared the Zodiac logo on his Instagram Story following the announcement.

At the New York Comic Con panel, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise, described Zodiac as “a spy thriller.” He added, “And for anyone who knows the comics, if you look closely at this title design, you’ll see a few clues about where we’re going.”
“And no, I can’t tell you anything else about it yet because it’s a secret! We’re going to start casting it in a couple weeks.”
Speaking to Collider, Winderbaum said, “It’s a globetrotting, international espionage show about secrets and lies and betrayals and secret acts of loyalty and an insane cast of characters.”
Winderbaum confirms that Trinh Tran is attached to Marvel’s Zodiac.
“She produced two tiny movies called Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame… The fact that I’ve got an all-star player on the field for that project is really exciting.”
There is something important to look back at, as Marvel may have teased its Zodiac project in the MCU years ago. The codename “Zodiac” appeared in the Agent Carter One-Shot, set one year after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger. In the story, Agent Carter is sent to retrieve something called Zodiac. But what exactly was it? Could it be a mysterious substance or a surviving sample of Steve Rogers’ Super-Soldier Serum?

Here’s the list of MCU Phase 7 release dates:
- Zodiac — March 2028
- X-Men — May 5, 2028
- Ghost Rider — July 23, 2028
- Marvel Zombies: Fist of Khonshu — October 2027
