Neon has released the official trailer for ‘Longlegs,’ a crime thriller starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage. You can watch the trailer below.
The film, written and directed by Osgood Perkins, stars Monroe as Lee Harker, Cage as The Serial Killer, along with Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.
According to the film’s plot, “Lee Harker (Monroe), a talented new FBI agent, has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer (Cage). As the investigation becomes more complicated and occult evidence is uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link to the ruthless killer and must act quickly to prevent another family murder.”
Produced by Nicolas Cage, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan, and Chris Ferguson. It is a production of C2 Motion Picture Group, Saturn Films, and Range Media Partners. Distribution is handled by Neon for North America and Black Bear International for international markets.
According to early reactions, Twitter (X) user Bill Bria wrote, “I was so lucky to see Longlegs, and no exaggeration: it could be the best horror film of ‘24. Oz Perkins can really get under my skin; this is his masterpiece. Monroe gives a fabulously unique lead performance, and Cage? NIGHTMARISH. Maybe the scariest 1st 10 mins, ever.”
‘Longlegs’ will hit theaters on July 12, 2024, by Neon.
